Job Overview: The Learning Experience Designer is responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance learner engagement and drive knowledge retention. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learners to design, develop, and implement instructional materials and courses across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Design, develop, and implement innovative and effective learning experiences for a variety of audiences, especially medical providers, using instructional design principles.
- Analyze learning needs and course objectives to create tailored content that meets the learners' requirements.
- Content Creation:
- Create multimedia instructional materials, primarily e-learning modules, videos, assessments, and occasionally facilitator guides.
- Ensure all content is up-to-date, accessible, and aligns with best practices in instructional design.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure content accuracy and relevancy.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on learning materials.
- Learning Platform Management:
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deploy and manage courses and track learner progress.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to learners experiencing difficulties with the LMS or course materials.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Develop assessment tools to measure learner success and program effectiveness.
- Analyze feedback and performance data to continuously improve learning experiences.
- Stay Current:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in instructional design, learning technology, and adult learning theory.
- Experiment with new technologies and methodologies to enhance learning experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in instructional design or learning experience design, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia production tools.
- Experience in developing training content for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
