ABOUT THE JOB

The Chiropractic Assistant at Marathon Health is a crucial member of our care team. The Chiropractic Assistant is responsible for assisting the Doctor of Chiropractic in a team-based, multidisciplinary clinical setting. The Chiropractic Assistant will perform duties such as assisting with therapeutic modalities, obtaining patient vitals, scheduling appointments, preparing the patient for chiropractic treatment or examination, assisting with patient education/communication, and maintaining medical records. In addition, the Chiropractic Assistant may help to support the client with wellness initiatives and other requested worksite support. The Chiropractic Assistant will maintain a positive working relationship and collaborate with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff. Marathon Health will provide specialty training to ensure success while working as a Chiropractic Assistant in this setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete specialty training provided by Marathon Health.

  • Greet patients as they enter the office.

  • Schedule patients for appointments.

  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist with treatment as necessary.

  • Prepare the patient for chiropractic treatment or examination.

  • Assist with patient education and communication.

  • Maintain medical records.

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with infection control policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Assist patients with check-in/check-out, referrals, pre-authorizations as needed.

  • Obtain and record vital signs.

  • Provide modalities as directed by provider including hot/cold packs, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, traction, etc.

  • Assist with taking X-Rays as permitted by state regulations.

  • Attend continuing education classes as needed per state and certification requirements.

  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism in communications and relationships with patients.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship and collaborate with other healthcare professionals and ancillary staff.

  • Help to support the client with wellness initiatives and other requested worksite support.

Patient Satisfaction

  • Provides an outstanding experience to patients and families as reflected in Net Promoter Score surveys

Patient Engagement

  • Participates in patient outreach to drive engagement among eligible patients
  • Helps to manage the schedule to provide access to patients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current BLS certification preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Understanding of clinical documentation requirements while utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $22.00-27.00/hr
