Senior Project Manager, Marketing

Precision for Medicine (PFM) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the project management function within the PFM Marketing Team. PFM is helping biotech and pharmaceutical companies accelerate the development of life-changing treatments. Our marketing team produces the tactics, campaigns, PR and conferences that enhance the reputation of PFM and generates leads for new business. The Senior Project manager will be responsible for facilitating the completion of marketing campaigns and projects by coordinating the activities of the team, resources and vendors. In addition to managing individual projects and timelines, this position maintains a system that provides an overview into all key initiatives in development. This position helps manage resources, schedules and quality throughout the full development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project changes to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Owns process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. This position has one direct report, a project manager coordinator. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of marketing initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Report on key project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Provide status reporting and facilitate meetings regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
  • Performance reviews and staff development

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Experience in managing vendors
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
  • Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
  • Experience in managing delivery of customer-facing and internally facing products or services.
  • Not required but helpful: PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
