In this role, the Senior IT Auditor is responsible for helping to execute VillageMD’s IT audit plans across the entire environment. Audit exposure will include SOX, PCI, HIPAA, PII, PHI along with Infrastructure and Security efforts. Effective communication and technical leadership is critical to the success of this role. Candidates must be able fluently speak both technical and business language interchangeably.

This position will be responsible for ensuring that all control objectives are tested and that results are documented and communicated in a timely fashion. This role will assist with reporting status of the audit program to Village Senior Leaders. This is a cross-functional role, working closely with all IT groups across VillageMD and other functional teams to ensure controls and compliance requirements are clearly defined and implemented.
How you can make a difference:
- Execute IT audit testing and document test work performed, root cause analysis, summarized test results, and conclusion within workpapers.
- Participation in various organizational audits (SOX, HIPAA, PCI, PHI, Infrastructure, etc.)
- Designs IT testing procedures to identify and evaluate risk exposures and determine the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
- Assists with the successful completion of the quarterly UAR (User Access Review) audit process.
- Collaborates with Internal Audit in developing, testing, and devising solutions to effectively meet applicable IT control objectives.

Experience to drive change:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in IT Risk Management, SOX compliance and auditing with a strong background in IT controls.
- Experience with SOX/ General Computer Controls, SOC, NIST, PCI, and/or other Information Security Management or privacy frameworks preferred.
- CISA certification is preferred; other audit, security, or technology certifications are a plus (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc.)
- Experience with SOX/ General Computer Controls, SOC, NIST, PCI, and/or other Information Security Management or privacy frameworks preferred.
- Practical understanding of IT security compliance, risk management and information security principles including access control, network security, information security architecture, and information security operations.
- Experience with SailPoint a plus, but not required.
