About Us:
Here at Ambience, we never set out to be just another scribe. We’re building the AI intelligence platform that restores humanity to healthcare and drives meaningful ROI for health systems across the country.
Our technology helps providers focus on delivering great care by removing the administrative burden that pulls them away from patients and away from their most impactful work. Ambience delivers real-time coding-aware documentation and clinical workflow support across ambulatory, emergency and inpatient settings at the top health systems in North America.
Our teams operate relentlessly with extreme ownership to build the best solutions for our health system partners. We value candor, positivity and deep thought — and we expect a lot from each other because we know the problems we’re solving truly matter.
Ambience was ranked #1 for Improving the Clinician Experience in the KLAS Research Emerging Solutions Top 20 Report, recognized by Fast Company as one of the Next Big Things in Tech, named one of the best AI companies in healthcare by Inc., and selected as a LinkedIn Top Startup in 2024 and 2025. We’re backed by Oak HC/FT, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), OpenAI Startup Fund, and Kleiner Perkins — and we’re just getting started.
Summary
We are looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to own customer advocacy programs, build and maintain our customer proof infrastructure, and partner cross-functionally to ensure Ambience's strongest asset, our customers, is activated strategically across every stage of the GTM motion.
Reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing and Advocacy, you will be the person who knows our advocates deeply, maintains the most current and comprehensive library of customer evidence, and ensures the right stories reach the right audiences at the right time. You will market through customers, not to them.
What You'll Accomplish
Build and scale customer advocacy programs including references, case studies, speaking engagements, testimonials, and customer stories that support growth, expansion, and market credibility.
Support growth and expansion motions by partnering with Sales/Growth on accounts expanding into new departments or specialties, equipping teams with the right proof points and peer stories.
Own the customer proof repository, maintaining a centralized, searchable library of research, case studies, customer stories, references, and performance metrics so that any team can find the right asset quickly.
Support advisory councils and community programs, managing logistics, insights synthesis, and participant engagement.
Drive cross-functional coordination for advocate deployment, ensuring Care Transformation, Product, Sales, Comms, and Research teams know which advocates to use, in what forums, and with what narrative.
Ensure narrative alignment so that all customer evidence reflects Ambience's broader positioning around care transformation, clinical AI leadership, and the intelligence platform.
Expected Outcomes
Active advocate base grows meaningfully within the first two quarters, with diverse persona and specialty coverage.
Reference fulfillment, speaker preparation, and case study pipelines operate as reliable, well-run engines.
Customer evidence is consistently attached to expansion opportunities.
Internal teams can self-serve from the proof repository without escalating.
Advisory council sessions deliver actionable insights that inform product, GTM, and narrative decisions.
Cross-functional advocacy workflows are documented, predictable, and reliable.
Published customer stories reinforce GTM and product priorities.
What We Look For
4-7+ years in customer marketing, customer advocacy, or a closely adjacent role (content marketing, product marketing, customer success with a marketing lens) in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
Demonstrated experience building or scaling advocacy programs: references, case studies, speaker programs, or customer evidence engines.
Exceptional storytelling and writing skills; ability to translate clinical or technical outcomes into compelling, audience-specific narratives.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; track record of working across Sales, Product, CS/CT, and Marketing to drive shared outcomes.
Highly organized with strong program and project management instincts; comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams with minimal oversight.
Customer-facing polish; comfortable engaging with healthcare executives, clinicians, and operational leaders.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in healthcare, health IT, or clinical AI; familiarity with health system buying dynamics and clinical workflows.
Experience maintaining content libraries or knowledge management systems for cross-functional use.
Proficiency with tools such as Asana, Notion, Hubspot and Slack.
Pay Transparency
The base compensation for this role is approximately $150,000-$205,000 USD per year, excluding equity or bonus targets.
We have intentionally provided a wide range to allow flexibility in cash/equity mix. Ambience leans toward generous equity grants so that our team truly shares in the impact we create.
Are you outside of this range? We encourage you to still apply. We take an individualized approach to compensation that considers experience, location, and overall fit.
