Role’s Mission

Develop and execute the content creation strategy for Aplazo. Lead creative direction and concept development for initiatives that engage and inspire both internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and engage the Communications Content Creation team (agencies + internal team).
  • Create engaging content (stories, speeches, videos, photography, etc.) and communication tools (e.g. presentations, newsletters) that follow Brand Communication’s creative vision in style, quality, messaging and tone of voice.
  • Drive creative vendor strategy and direct efforts of external vendors (e.g. copywriting, photography, graphic design, video production and editing, etc.); manage contracts, budget and external efforts.
  • Proactively partner with Digital Team to understand and deliver against key objectives by conceptualizing, pitching and creating effective content.
  • Provide comprehensive expertise for assigned functional areas towards team and business partners.
  • Partner with Product Marketing team to align priorities, update on initiatives and share best practices.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the business by taking on ownership for related actions
  • Interpret analytical insights to continuously improve content performance.

Requirements

Must have

Experience in working in FMCG companies and Creative agencies working with local & global brands, background for 10+ years in Mexico or another region.

Years of experience: At least 10+ years of work experience in in an established creative and/or studio environment.

Technical skills

  • Superior storytelling and visual communication skills with a very broad knowledge of creating and editing a variety of visual formats.
  • Thorough experience in leading a team and managing editorial content.
  • Proven ability to advise senior executives on communication concepts and content strategies.
  • Skilled communicator able to articulate complex ideas and business issues verbally and in writing.
  • Strong understanding and interest in the future of interactive media, particularly digital technology.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented work style who can drive cultural change.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment and be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Soft skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of business topics, Web 2./social media and off/online marketing activities.
  • Proven experience driving a corporate culture to engage employees.
  • Proven experience successfully supporting communications for cross-functional teams.

Academic background (studies or certifications): Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in digital media design, marketing, communications or related field.

Languages: Fluent in English & Spanish (Strong ability to communicate and team capabilities).
