Role’s mission

The Strategic Account Manager is at the intersection between customer-centric mindset and data-driven thinking. The ideal candidate collaborates directly with strategic merchants, driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction by collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders and performing in-depth analyses of relevant business metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships through regular communication and ad-hoc work dynamics
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value accounts
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve growth
  • Design key initiatives for merchants with a data-driven approach
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly business reviews with merchants
  • Monitor accounts performance on a daily basis
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the company and coordinate with internal stakeholders such as credit, growth, marketing, operations, and product for the delivery of key initiatives
  • Design and implement experiments, test hypotheses, and track experiment results
  • Model and forecast merchants’ output based on historical data and future assumptions
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to merchants

Requirements - must have:

Experience:

  • Work experience in operations, sales operations, strategy, or other areas that require working with data, preferably in Tech companies

Year of experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience

Technical skills:

  • Basic modeling/forecasting experience
  • Basic BI tools knowledge, preferably Google Looker Studio
  • Intermediate SQL
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets

Soft skills:

  • Data-driven thinking (backing up high-quality and actionable business insights with data)
  • Strategic thinking (building comprehensive strategies that align with company and merchants’ goals)
  • Cross-team collaboration (connecting the dots across different teams and building relationships that generate company growth)
  • Curiosity (trying new things to improve, finding interesting ways to look at and perform tasks)
  • Attention to detail (digging deep into business problems and opportunities without losing focus on the big picture
  • Presentation and communication (preparing compelling narratives to communicate both internally and externally)
  • Project management (handling multiple projects at the same time, being able to prioritize tasks and provide reasoning as to why)
  • Commercial skills (effectively engaging with merchants, building relationships and finding opportunities for mutual growth)
  • Problem-solving (sizing and finding potential solutions to any problem, remembering to leverage existing resources and teams)

Academic background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business (business administration, marketing, entrepreneurship), analytics (finance, business intelligence) or related field
  • In the absence of a bachelor’s degree or a degree in a different field, relevant work experience is necessary

Languages:

  • Spanish
  • English (Advanced)

Requirements - nice to have:

Technical skills:

  • Basic understanding of data science models with business applications
  • Intermediate modeling / forecasting experience
  • Intermediate BI tools knowledge, preferably Google Looker Studio
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies

Soft skills:

  • Retail experience
