🛠 About the Role As a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang & Java), you’ll help design and build the backend systems that support our Risk and Credit partners, internal teams, and long-term scalability. You’ll work with a modern cloud-based stack, develop critical APIs and services, and contribute to our engineering culture of quality, ownership, and growth.

🎯 What You’ll Do
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Golang and Java.
• Develop APIs and integrations that enable merchants and internal teams to interact with our platform reliably and efficiently.
• Own problems end-to-end—from identifying needs to deploying code in production.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver value iteratively.
• Help define and improve our engineering processes, testing strategies, observability standards, and DevOps practices. Foster a strong culture of documentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor peers, review code, and actively participate in technical discussions.

✅ What We’re Looking For
🧠 Technical Must-Haves:
• 7+ years of experience building backend systems or APIs.
• Production-level experience with Golang and Java.
• Experience working with distributed systems, E-commerce APIs, or integration-heavy platforms.
• Strong testing, debugging, and system design skills.
• Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) our stack:
• Golang, Java, some Python
• AWS (ECS, Lambda), CI/CD (Pulumi, Jenkins)
• Observability tools like DataDog
• You write clean, testable, maintainable code and prioritize long-term value.

• Great communication skills (Spanish required; English for some vendors or teammates).
• Comfortable working in evolving environments with changing priorities.
