Internship Mission

As a Merchant Operations Summer Intern, your mission is to support the design, evaluation, and potential launch of merchant-funded promotional installments (0% APR / extended tenors) for Aplazo. You will work on unit economics, merchant pricing logic, and pilot design to help leadership make a clear go / no-go decision.

This is a project-based internship with high exposure to Operations, Product, Finance, and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the viability of merchant-funded installment promotions (0% APR / extended tenors)
• Design and analyze unit economics and merchant pricing logic (incremental MDR)
• Support the definition of eligibility criteria and pilot structure for top merchants
• Analyze operational and financial implications of different installment structures
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Finance teams
• Prepare analysis, insights, and exec-ready recommendations for leadership
• In case of a “Go” decision, support the development of a go-to-market (GTM) plan

Requirements

• MBA candidate or equivalent graduate program (available full-time during summer)

• Strong analytical skills and financial modeling capability
  
• Comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces and structuring business decisions
• Strong communication skills and ability to synthesize insights for executives

Nice to Have

• Experience with pricing, unit economics, or marketplace models
• Exposure to merchant monetization or payments economics
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
• Familiarity with cross-functional project work
• Exposure to payments, e-commerce, or strategy preferred
