Program Summary:

The Bloom Licensing Readiness Program is designed for individuals interested in becoming licensed Medicare insurance agents. This self‑paced and self-funded pathway  guides you through completing the state licensing requirements using our discounted partner courses. After earning your license and obtaining your National Producer Number (NPN), you may apply for a Licensed Agent position with Bloom.

This program is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to launch or advance their career in insurance—even those with no prior industry experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

While in the Licensing Readiness Program, participants will:

• Complete the selected pre‑licensing education course (Xcel or ExamFX)
• Study course materials, practice exams, and state‑specific requirements
• Successfully pass the provider course exam and schedule their official state licensing exam
• Complete all required state steps, including fingerprinting/background checks
• Obtain a National Producer Number (NPN)
• Apply for a Licensed Agent role with Bloom upon successful licensing

Note: Successful completion of the program does not guarantee employment. Upon successful completion of the state exam, candidates are required to submit an application through BloomThrives.com and proceed through the standard hiring process.

Compensation:

• If hired as a Licensed Agent the starting pay for the role is $18/hour
• Eligible for uncapped incentive opportunities upon hire (performance‑based)
• New Licensed Agents that complete this program and are hired at Bloom in a Licensed Agent role on or before August 26 may receive a $1,250 commitment bonus, paid in three installments, contingent on eligibility and active status

Qualifications:

• No prior insurance experience required
• Must be willing to pay upfront licensing expenses, including:
  • Pre‑licensing course
  • State exam
  • Fingerprinting / background check
  • State license application
  • NPN registration
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S (certain states excluded)
• Must commit to completing all state licensing steps
• Must meet hiring standards if applying for a Licensed Agent role
