Seasonal Training Specialist (Temporary Position)
Position Overview:
At Bloom, we are dedicated to revolutionizing the insurance industry through innovation and excellence. The virtual Seasonal Training Specialist supports onboarding and training initiatives during peak business periods. This role is responsible for facilitating live virtual training sessions, guiding learners through course content, and ensuring employees are prepared to perform successfully in their roles.
The specialist creates an engaging and supportive online learning environment while delivering training through virtual platforms and digital learning tools.
This is a seasonal, temporary role supporting our AEP onboarding training period. The training season typically concludes around September–October, and assignments will end around that timeframe in alignment with business needs.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:
- Facilitate live virtual training sessions for new hires and existing employees
- Deliver onboarding, systems, product, compliance, and process training in a virtual environment
- Lead discussions, activities, simulations, and role plays using virtual training tools
- Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and learner support
- Monitor participation, engagement, and completion
- Assist with virtual classroom setup
- Troubleshoot basic learner technical issues during training sessions
- Maintain a high-energy, inclusive, and engaging virtual classroom experience
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred, High School Diploma required
- 1+ years of experience delivering exceptional instructor-lead in-person and/or virtual training preferred
- 6+ months of experience in a customer-facing role required
- Medicare/Medicaid/Individual Insurance experience preferred
- Health Insurance License is preferred
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with standard workplace technology
- Meets/exceeds goals and targets on program
Required Skills and Abilities:
- A home office with high-speed internet access and a distraction free workspace is required
- Required Equipment: A Bloom-issued computer and a minimum of two monitors.
- Camera use is required for all facilitation sessions. Facilitators are expected to remain visible and on camera for an average of 6–8 hours per day.
- Must have availability Mon-Fri from 8:45am – 5:30 pm EST
- May require some weekend or early/late schedules
- Able to effectively communicate and lead (control) a group of 1-20 in a virtual environment
- Ability to adapt to changing routines and roles
- Comfortable facilitating educational activities
- Comfortable and competent using a computer: general usability, keyboarding, internet and equipment.
- Comfortable and competent using Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good attention to detail in record keeping
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Works well within a team
- Effectively manage time and perform under pressure
