With the launch of our flagship generative AI product, we’ve consistently exceeded our revenue targets quarter over quarter and continue to accelerate our growth. Our product roadmap is ambitious, customer-focused, and designed to deliver exceptional value at speed.
On the heels of our $122M USD Series D funding, we’re racing ahead with an exciting product roadmap and are looking for a Director of Tax Education to support our growth. Reporting directly to our CEO, this role will be focused on designing and delivering programs that make learning more engaging, accessible, and effective by leveraging Blue J’s AI-powered tax research platform.

A Note on Location

This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of occasional in-person meetings at our Toronto office and some travel for conferences.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of tax education. In this role, you’ll expand the reach of Blue J’s AI-powered tax research platform across leading law schools, business schools, and professional education programs in North America and the UK. You’ll play a central role in equipping the next generation of tax professionals with the tools they’ll use throughout their careers.
As a trusted advisor to tax educators, you’ll design and deliver programs that make learning more engaging, efficient, and impactful. Beyond the classroom, you’ll build partnerships, represent Blue J at key academic forums, and influence how AI is integrated into tax teaching on a global scale. For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to multiply your impact far beyond a single program, helping shape the standard for tax research and education for years to come.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Lead Blue J’s efforts to embed our AI-powered tax research platform across tax programs in North America and the UK, spanning:
    • Masters of Accounting programs
    • Tax LL.M. programs
    • Undergraduate tax programs
    • Professional and continuing education programs
  • Build and scale partnerships with law schools, business schools, and professional education providers to ensure wide adoption of Blue J by tax faculty and students.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to tax educators, drawing on your own teaching background to demonstrate how AI can transform the way tax is taught and learned.
  • Design and deliver engaging training, workshops, and enablement materials tailored for tax instructors and their students.
  • Develop strategies and campaigns to establish Blue J as the standard research tool for the next generation of tax professionals.
  • Work closely with Blue J’s Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to align academic adoption with broader go-to-market priorities.
  • Represent Blue J at academic conferences, professional associations, and tax education forums, building thought leadership and brand presence.
  • Gather feedback from faculty and students to inform product development, ensuring Blue J remains the best-in-class solution for tax research and teaching.

What You Offer Blue J

  • At least two years of experience in tax teaching, whether in academia, professional education, or a closely related environment.
  • A genuine passion for elevating the practice of tax research and teaching through AI, with the energy and ambition to drive change at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with educators, earn trust, and inspire them to adopt new technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through; relentless in pursuing opportunities and seeing initiatives through to completion.
  • Creativity in designing programs, materials, and events that make tax research both engaging and accessible.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt for faculty audiences, students, and professional bodies.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with go-to-market teams and representing Blue J externally.
  • A growth mindset, someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and wants to multiply their impact beyond their own classroom.

What We Offer You

  • A rare opportunity to pioneer the integration of cutting-edge AI into tax education, shaping how future generations of tax professionals learn and work.
  • The chance to elevate your own impact from a single classroom to hundreds of programs across North America and the UK.
  • A mission-driven culture where your work directly advances clarity, efficiency, and accessibility in tax research.
  • Competitive base salary, stock options, and benefits designed to support you and your family.
  • Flexibility in how you work: primarily remote, with occasional travel to our Toronto office and conferences as needed.
  • A collaborative, ambitious, and supportive team that values innovation, respect, and fun.
  • The excitement of a fast-growing, well-funded company with clear momentum, and the resources to back bold initiatives.
