Candid Health is seeking a highly driven and analytical FP&A Lead to join our growing team. We are in a critical phase of scaling, optimizing our business model, and preparing for future growth. This role will be instrumental in providing financial insights, driving strategic decisions, and building the financial processes that will enable us to deliver transformative software to our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive Candid Health’s Financial Planning and Analysis function including the development and implementation of scalable models for financial planning, budgeting and analysis across the company

  • Act as a trusted partner and collaborator to teams and leadership stakeholders of multiple organizations by providing data driven finance insight that informs business strategy and operational approaches.

  • Support the executive team with financial analysis for strategic initiatives, M&A due diligence, and capital allocation decisions.

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, providing regular performance commentary and identifying trends.

  • Enhance financial reporting capabilities, including dashboard development and automation to improve efficiency and accessibility of data for a variety of stakeholders

  • Ensure a rigorous approach to financial reporting and compliance is maintained including tax preparation

  • Assist in the preparation of financial materials for future fundraising rounds, including investor decks, data room documents, and financial projections.

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic projects, evaluate new business opportunities, and assess financial risks.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting, with at least 2+ years in a startup environment (ideally Series B+), HealthTech experience is a plus

  • You have extreme attention to detail, and a track record of producing deliverables of exceptional quality and accuracy.

  • You have worked in environments with access to sensitive data and maintain high trust and discretion in the use of customer, employee and business information.

  • Proven experience building and maintaining complex financial models from scratch (e.g., 3-statement models, SaaS metrics models).:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Exceptional proficiency in accounting and finance tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Brex, Rippling, Bill.com, etc.) with a willingness to adapt to new systems

  • You have a detailed understanding of GAAP accounting and strong technical accounting skills

  • Proven track record of executing month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and occasionally, other related tax and compliance activities

  • You are outcome oriented and thrive in dynamic startup environments - you’re able to identify opportunities for improvement across your sphere of ownership and others

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can collaborate with technical teams, executives and business partners of varying scope and dimension

Location

Candid Health is an in-person team and this role is specifically for our San Francisco, Denver, or New York office.

Pay Transparency

The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $160,000 - $210,000 USD. The listed range is a guideline from Pave data, and the actual base salary may be modified based on factors including job-related skills, experience/qualifications, interview performance, market data, etc. Total compensation for this position may also include equity, sales incentives (for sales roles), and employee benefits. Given Candid Health’s funding and size, we heavily value the potential upside from equity in our compensation package. Further note that Candid Health has minimal hierarchy and titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
