Job Description:

The Electronic Database Interchange (EDI) is a computer-to-computer communication method that standardizes electronic communication between business partners, such as purchase orders and invoices. The individual in this role will work with the company’s EDI program maintaining smooth communications for production using EDI tools and ensuring smooth transitions when changes or maintenance are required. This role is in the Outbound Department reporting to the Outbound Supervisor.

  • Regularly perform audits to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support migration of current EDI to Jazz (our WMS platform).
  • Work with Virtual Relationship Managers (VRM)s to resolve any operational issues.
  • Process and monitor all inbound and outbound documents.
  • Coordinate with partners to maintain effective EDI relationships and provide support to internal departments.
  • Review current implementation plans to identify risk and failure points with a constant focus on process improvement and automation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EDI Application Training, including but not limited to having a working knowledge of software programming and coding languages like C++, Java, XML, CSV, and SQL.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to discuss technical issues with non-technical staff, such as during training.
  • Possess excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with remote teams including working closely with other business professionals.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with team members at all levels and departments within the organization.
  • Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must take initiative.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in supply chain management, 3PL, or regional distribution center
  • Highschool diploma/GED, some college preferred
  • You can lift up to 50 pounds
  • You are comfortable working at heights
  • You are able to work in extreme heat and cold
  • You are able to lift items overhead
