The Role:

The Lead role coordinates and expedites the flow of goods as outlined by department supervision. Utilize resources to meet day-to-day productivity and service goals while maintaining quality and a safe work environment. Obtaining a Lead Associate role is considered a progressive step on path to an Operations Supervisor. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

What You'll Do:

• Demonstrate leadership skills to monitor area performance and suggest process improvement throughout the distribution facility.

• Monitor daily operations of specific department in accordance with distribution policies and procedures.

• Responsible for work station assignments/rotations.

• Coordinate production startups and/or shutdowns.

• Partner with Supervisor to ensure departmental goals are achieved.

• Responsible for monitoring department quality standards.

• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work guidelines.

• Ensure a clean and safe work area.

• Partner with Supervisor on Associate communications.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Who You Are:

• Must be able to adapt to change by working within different departments as needed.

• Ability to perform basic mathematics accurately including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

• Must be able to read, speak, and understand the English language.

• Must be able to accurately and readily fill out forms and paperwork.

• Ability to operate manual and automated pallet jack equipment.

• Reliable attendance is an essential requirement to perform the job successfully.

• Computer Skills: WMS Warehouse Software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of RF technology.

What You've Done:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Six to twelve months of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that are required by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.

• The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

• Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.

• Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.

This is a full-time position. As an International Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role may operate in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. This role may also operate in a warehouse environment subject to inside environmental conditions with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. This role may also be subject to loud noise due to conveyor systems and material handling equipment and routinely uses standard personal protective equipment.
