What we are looking for:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Compliance & Monitoring Analyst to join our Compliance team. This role combines two critical functions: counterparty due diligence and transactional monitoring, playing a key role in strengthening our AML/CFT and regulatory compliance framework in Mexico.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities, knowledge of the Mexican regulatory framework, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. You will work alongside the Compliance Officer and the broader Compliance team to drive continuous improvement of processes, policies, and our compliance culture.

What would you be doing:

Due Diligence & Onboarding

  • Counterparty due diligence (DD & DDI): client onboarding and periodic reviews, verifying documentation and identifying ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).
  • Screening: validation against sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU), PEPs, adverse media, and local regulatory lists (UIAF, SFC, among others).
  • Policies & procedures: support the development, documentation, and enhancement of PLDcontrols.
  • Reporting: preparation of internal compliance reports and support for regulatory filings
  • Research & analysis: support in identifying new typologies, regulatory updates, and risk assessments.

Transactional Monitoring

  • Monitor financial transactions in real time and retrospectively to detect unusual, suspicious, or high-risk activity.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of transaction patterns, behavioral trends, and system-generated alerts.
  • Investigate alerts and document findings clearly, supporting decisions with structured and critical reasoning.
  • Contribute to the development, calibration, and continuous improvement of risk matrices and monitoring parameters.
  • Ensure proper case documentation aligned with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

What do you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in transaction monitoring, AML, compliance, or risk management (preferably in fintech or financial services).
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT frameworks and regulatory standards.
  • Experience working with monitoring systems and case management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of local and international AML regulations.
  • Experience in fintech or digital payments environments.
  • Advanced level of English
