The Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Financial Associate is responsible for managing and analyzing financial operations related to ACOs, including MSSP and ACO Reach programs. This role involves detailed financial analysis, tracking key performance indicators, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and settlement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, data analytics, or accounting, with specific experience in the healthcare sector and ACOs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Manage the payment of monthly capitation fees to affiliates.
  • Track projected financial results by affiliate ACO group and present monthly/quarterly results to ACO affiliates.
  • Maintain reporting and tracking of billing bifurcation issues, both internally and with external affiliates.
  • Provide support for annual budget, reforecasts, and monthly accounting entries.
• Claims and Risk Analysis:
  • Perform detailed claim level analysis and track risk scores to identify trends and predict future outcomes.
  • Analyze and track 3-day waiver utilization and stop loss claims by group.
• Performance Tracking and Benchmarking:
  • Track patient-level benchmarks for ACO Reach and analyze alignment projections for MSSP.
  • Monitor and report on quality results by group for settlement calculations.
  • Maintain ACO Reach results and projections, reconciling each quarterly benchmark file.
  • Analyze and track quarterly Health Equity Plan results to ensure goals are met.
• Financial Settlements and Recapture:
  • Track and assist in accounting for affiliate advances to ensure accurate settlement recapture.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling, with a focus on healthcare and ACOs (Reach and MSSP)
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
