JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage inbound and outbound calls to and from Curana Health patients in a professional and courteous manner to answer questions or address any concerns in reference to billing statements.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for inbound and outbound calls to and from patients to answer questions or concerns regarding account balances
  • Accurately update changes to patient demographic and insurance information in computer database
  • Documenting detailed call notes
  • Verify insurance and filing claims
  • Process patient payments over the phone
  • Informs patients of deductibles and co-pays
  • Must be able to interact with patients in a professional, courteous and calmly manner
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior experience as a Customer Service Specialist or equivalent, ideally within a medical setting
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills
