Job Overview:

The EHR Analyst is responsible for the support, administration, and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically NextGen( PM) and E.H.R( GEHRIMED). This role requires a strong background in EHR implementation, system administration, and interface troubleshooting. The candidate will collaborate closely with clinicians, IT staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of our EHR systems, providing exceptional customer service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHR System Support: Maintain and optimize EHR systems (NextGen and Gehrimed), ensuring their smooth operation and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Implementation & Configuration: Assist with EHR system upgrades, new module implementation, and system configuration to meet organizational needs.
  • Interface Management: Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve interface issues between EHR systems and other healthcare applications (e.g., lab systems, billing, etc.).
  • User Support & Training: Provide frontline support to users, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, offering technical assistance and guidance.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensure the integrity of patient data within the EHR systems and assist with generating reports to support clinical and operational needs.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service, addressing end-user concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain system documentation, including workflows, training materials, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure alignment of EHR systems with the organization’s needs and goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all EHR activities are compliant with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years Healthcare IT experience and 3+ years of experience as an EHR Analyst, System Administrator, or in a similar role, with a focus on NextGen and/or Gehrimed EHR systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of EHR implementation, configuration, and system administration. Experience with interface troubleshooting and resolving integration issues.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide top-tier customer support.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing system issues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, with both technical and clinical staff.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, information technology, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise with both NextGen and Gehrimed EHR systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level provider organizations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, etc.).
  • Certification in EHR systems or health information management.
