Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Specialist to support the migration of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data to GEHRIMED. The role involves tracking the progress of the data migration, ensuring the accurate transfer of data, and maintaining documentation to ensure the process runs smoothly and complies with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Conversion & Mapping:

• Lead the effort to convert data from the legacy EHR system to GEHRIMED, ensuring that data is correctly mapped to the new system.
• Work closely with IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the conversion process.
• Perform data analysis to identify inconsistencies or discrepancies between legacy data and GEHRIMED and address any issues prior to migration.
• Develop and execute data validation checks to ensure the data migration process is accurate and complete.

Tracking Progress & Status Reporting:

• Track the progress of data migration, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and in alignment with project timelines.
• Generate regular status reports on the progress of the data conversion and loading, including identifying any potential risks, delays, or issues.
• Work with the project management team to ensure that milestones are met, and issues are addressed proactively.
• Provide stakeholders with clear and timely updates on the status of data migration, including any data discrepancies or errors that need to be resolved.

Data Loading into GEHRIMED:

• Oversee the process of loading data into the GEHRIMED system, ensuring that all relevant data is successfully transferred and available in the new system.
• Work with the GEHRIMED support team to resolve any technical issues during the loading phase. Documentation & Compliance:
• Document the data conversion and loading process, including data mapping, validation procedures, and any issues encountered during the migration.
• Ensure that all data handling processes are compliant with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
• Ensure that data conversion documentation is clear and accessible to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with security and compliance teams to verify that all data is handled securely throughout the migration process.

Quality Assurance & Data Integrity:

• Perform quality assurance (QA) testing on the converted data to ensure it meets the required standards of accuracy, completeness, and functionality.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on the newly loaded data, ensuring the data is usable and properly integrated into GEHRIMED.
• Address any data issues or errors identified during QA and UAT, working quickly to resolve them to avoid delays in the migration timeline.

Collaboration & Support:

• Work closely with teams to understand the data needs and ensure that specific data requirements are met during the migration.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to IT staff during the data loading process.
• Collaborate with other teams, including IT infrastructure, data governance, and clinical teams, to ensure the overall success of the EHR migration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data migration, preferably within an EHR or healthcare environment.

• Strong knowledge of data systems, including employee records, payroll data, certifications, and other specific data.
• Experience with EHR systems, ideally GEHRIMED, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with data mapping, data conversion, and data loading processes.
• Experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.) and data extraction tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and tracking skills, with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables. • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report on progress to stakeholders and provide clear updates on data issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GEHRIMED or similar EHR platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell) to automate data conversion or loading processes.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and tools.
• Certification in healthcare IT or data management (e.g., CHDA, CPHIMS).
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including IT and clinical departments.
