Curana Health is a provider of value-based primary care services for the senior living industry, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted & independent living communities, Memory Care units, and affordable senior housing sites. Our 1,000+ clinicians serve more than 1,500 senior living community partners across 34 states, and Curana participates in various innovative CMS programs (including owned-and-operated Accountable Care Organizations and Medicare Advantage plans). Summary

To enable Curana Health’s expansion and clinical performance, we are seeking an experienced Director of Special Projects to work closely with our execution team. This high-performing leader will drive impactful special projects throughout operations, from scoping to design to implementation. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business management role, with a focus on executive-level decision making and interdepartmental collaboration.

This role will be report to the Chief Operating Officer and drive cross-functional initiatives affecting the entire clinical organization, including acting as the operational owner for some of these programs going forward. This individual will develop implementation timelines and communication strategies, develop and monitor KPIs to assess initiative performance, and generally work across the Curana team to meet key business objectives. This is a great opportunity to be a critical participant in redefining a sector of healthcare in the midst of major growth, transformation, and reform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of key initiatives which may include but is not limited to: patient portal, clinical priorities, population health initiatives, operating model design
  • Partner with shared services in support of initiative development and launch
  • Interface with front line operating and clinical teams to launch and successfully operate new initiatives
  • Build positive trusting relationships with internal and external team members.
  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity
  • Establish change management programmatic approach and build communications infrastructure to efficiently and consistently manage employee experience through organizational changes and new initiatives.
  • Develop agendas and organize materials for key executive meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.

Background & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare operations, performance or clinical improvement, program management, or similar
  • Clinical and operational understanding of health care operations or demonstrated ability and interest to learn quickly
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven experience developing concise and impactful representations of complicated data sets
  • Experience in data analysis and budget management
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shift focus across priorities as business needs evolve
