Summary
Curana Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiatrist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in helping seniors and post-acute patients regain function, independence, and quality of life. You’ll apply the principles of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab, long-term acute care, and other senior care settings—delivering care that truly makes a difference for patients who need it most.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage pain, injury, and functional impairments in seniors and post-acute patients.
Develop and oversee personalized treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or other disabling conditions.
Monitor progress and adapt care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide adaptive tools and rehabilitation strategies to enhance independence and well-being.
Counsel patients and families on lifestyle adjustments, rehabilitation goals, and long-term care needs.
Collaborate with facility staff, nursing teams, and other providers to deliver integrated, high-quality care.
Serve as a trusted advocate for patients and a clinical leader within partner facilities.

Qualifications
Board-certified (ABPMR) Physiatrist (M.D. or D.O.) with training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Current unrestricted medical license, with DPS/DEA (or eligibility in progress).
Strong clinical expertise in geriatrics, post-acute care, and/or rehabilitation medicine (experience in SNF, IPR, LTACH, or hospitalist setting preferred but not required).
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
Proficiency with EHR documentation and billing.
A positive, team-first attitude and passion for improving senior healthcare.
This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days’ notice of this requirement. From that time forward, please be advised that Periodic motor vehicle (MVR) checks may be conducted as a condition of, and/or for, continued employment.
