Summary
The Clinical Lead, Operations & Care Delivery is a hybrid role designed to balance direct patient care and clinical leadership responsibilities. Time in this role is intentionally split between clinical rounding and administrative/operational leadership, with the exact balance adjusting based on business needs, market priorities, and patient demand.
This position serves as a local clinical leader, supporting care quality, provider engagement, and operational execution while maintaining an active clinical practice. It is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who enjoys mentoring, collaboration, and improving care delivery without stepping fully away from patient care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide direct patient care through on-site rounding in assigned facilities in accordance with Curana Health clinical standards
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to medically complex senior populations
- Maintain appropriate documentation, coding, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, facility staff, and caregivers to coordinate care
- Support quality initiatives related to outcomes, utilization, and patient experience
Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities
- Serve as a local clinical leader and point of support for providers within the assigned market
- Partner with operational and clinical leadership to support execution of strategic and operational initiatives
- Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and day-to-day support of providers as needed
- Monitor clinical workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement best practices
- Support quality, compliance, and performance initiatives aligned with Curana Health goals
- Act as a clinical liaison between field providers and regional leadership
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in applicable state(s)
- Board certification as NP or PA
- Active DEA (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in post-acute, long-term care, or senior living environments
- Prior experience in clinical leadership, mentorship, or operational collaboration strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- Comfort balancing clinical care with administrative responsibilities
This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. If so, you will be provided with thirty (30) days notice of this requirement.
