Summary
The Operations manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical and operations of assigned geographies. This position is responsible for providing operational and patient care leadership while supporting the company’s overall business strategy and supports the daily implementation for all clinical operations and quality patient care related functions and performance of the assigned geography. The operations manager is expected to foster positive and effective working relations with senior leadership and management, local market management, and business ancillary departments for the purpose of achieving the company’s vision, mission and objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and direction across key care delivery areas to support high-quality patient care, clinical compliance, quality outcomes, and an excellent patient experience.
- Oversee and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) from an operational standpoint, ensuring alignment with established clinical protocols, workflows, and company guidelines.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance evaluation of team members to meet Curana operational goals and patient care needs.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on quality and operational metrics to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage provider and staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage, operational efficiency, and continuity of care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior living and skilled nursing facilities, partnering with facility leadership and staff to improve care coordination and operational alignment.
- Support the implementation of company-wide initiatives, including value-based care programs, operational process improvements, and standardization efforts.
- Participate in company committees, workgroups, or task forces related to operations, quality, and patient safety, contributing operational insight and recommendations.
- Promote a culture of patient-centered care by fostering a supportive, collaborative, and compassionate environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, resource planning, and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and sustainable growth.
- Ensure operational compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and patient safety standards.
- Stay informed on trends and best practices in healthcare operations, primary care, geriatrics, and senior living, integrating evidence-based and operational best practices into daily workflows.
- Serve as an operational liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including providers, facility partners, healthcare organizations, community resources, and regulatory entities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Operations Management, or a related field
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, multi-site operations, or a complex service delivery environment
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
Strong understanding of healthcare operational workflows, provider scheduling, and performance management in a clinical setting (e.g., primary care, geriatrics, senior living, post-acute, or similar)
Experience managing operational KPIs and quality metrics, including analyzing data to drive performance improvement
Proven ability to lead recruiting, onboarding, and performance management processes in partnership with HR or Talent Acquisition
Experience building and maintaining external partner relationships (e.g., facility leadership, community partners, vendors)
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing operational expenses
Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and regulatory standards impacting operations
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
High level of organization, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities across geographies
