Summary

Responsible for obtaining state medical licenses for Curana Health clinical professionals in assigned or designated states.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process licensing applications on behalf of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
    • Management of the entire application process through state medical boards, verification sites, and educational entities.
    • Document and record all movement on licensing applications on excel licensure spreadsheet.
    • Working with clinicians to obtain required documents needed to process applications.
    • Completing application on behalf of clinicians.
    • Communicating with third party vendors to obtain required documents and verifications needed to complete licensing applications.
    • Communicating with medical boards, departments of health, or nursing boards to process applications, seeing the licensing process through to approval.
  • Processing Controlled Substance Applications and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) applications on behalf of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage: obtain and maintain medical malpractice insurance for physicians. Working directly with insurance company to complete application and required documents needed to secure coverage.
  • Processing Interstate Medical Licensure Compact applications on behalf of Physicians.
  • Obtain and maintain FCVS portfolio through FSMB for Physicians.
  • Provide regular updates regarding the status of in-process licensing applications to directors of the organization.
  • Maintain non primary state licenses upon renewal.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year work experience in Medical Licensing is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced team environment that requires decision-making and problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and web-based applications
  • Professional level written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and proven accuracy with record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred
  • Work Experience in the healthcare or staffing industries
