DispatchHealth seeks a dynamic, experienced, and strategic leader to join an innovative and rapidly growing team. The Area Market Manager of Operations is a high integrity leader with a demonstrated history of delivering results. This individual will understand the healthcare industry and recent trends and will be responsible for executing regional and market level business plans to take the organization into the future. Working in a “late-stage start-up” environment, the Area Manager will design and implement key processes in both the clinical and business areas and help lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of key operating initiatives to enhance all parts of the overall operating plan.
What You'll Do
The DispatchHealth Area Market Manager of Operations will hold primary operational accountability for assigned DispatchHealth markets, minimum of three markets across all lines of business. This includes driving clarity, consistency, and performance through a collaborative and engaging leadership style, aligning with internal stakeholders to achieve clinical, operational, and financial goals. This leader will also provide on-call support to the regional operations team as needed. Other key areas of accountability include:
- P & L Management:
- Responsible for analyzing and assisting with the financial performance of designated Markets and service lines, leading, and implementing financial strategies to improve key measures, and monitoring and analyzing budget variances with explanations and action plans.
- Manage direct and indirect costs within the area, review and approve expenses, and focus on financial stewardship including increasing productivity and profitability.
- Performance Management:
- Build a highly functional and engaged team of Market Leaders by working with Central Services /Talent Acquisition to interview and hire.
- In charge of training and supporting Market Leaders on performance management best practices and facilitating performance-related conversations. Monitor and track progress towards goals and objects of direct reports and the individuals they oversee.
- Recruitment/ Hiring
- Build and lead a highly functional and engaged team of Market Leaders through effective recruitment, hiring, and collaboration with Central Services and Talent Acquisition.
- Business Development
- Responsible for monitoring Market Leaders in Business Development activities, presenting the DispatchHealth business model and service lines to external partners, and assisting the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) manage partner and payer relations within assigned geography with business growth and development
- P & L Management:
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, healthcare administration, a clinical discipline, finance, economics, or accounting.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare with demonstrated ability to manage clinical and operational direct reports.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Interpersonal skills: ability to cultivate strong relationships.
- Initiative and a sense of competitive drive
- Ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong operational, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft tools
- Prior experience driving clinical excellence and working directly with clinicians, client/partner development, sales, and regulatory and compliance functions.
- Leadership: empowerment/delegation, ability to lead change, and have a passion for results and continuous improvement
- Possess key leadership attributes including team building and management experience -mentoring, coaching, driving consensus and performance.
