**Job Summary:**
The Eating Disorder Fellowship is a 1-year program that offers advanced training and clinical experience in eating disorders across all levels of care. The fellow will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of Dr. Steven Crawford at Eating Recovery Center (ERC), a nationally recognized eating disorder program. The fellowship is a University of Maryland position and provides training in evidence-based psychotherapy, medical management, and multidisciplinary care for patients with moderate and severe eating disorders. There is also the potential for post-fellowship employment at ERC as an attending psychiatrist.
**Responsibilities:**
- Gain expertise in identifying, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for eating disorders
- Provide psychological treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and family-based treatment, to patients with eating disorders
- Manage comorbidities associated with eating disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and substance use
- Develop an understanding of the pathophysiology of starvation, medical complications, and refeeding syndrome
- Make day-to-day medical decisions and serve as the primary medical provider for assigned patients under supervision
- Participate in clinical care and research activities, depending on individual preference
**Qualifications:**
- Completion of residency in Psychiatry
- PGY Level 5
