Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Lead Therapist

Adult Mood w Christian Integration

Reports to: Clinical Manager

Status: Full or part time employee

Location: Hybrid--remote and on-site

Position Summary: The IOP Lead Therapist is responsible for day-to-day oversight of staffing, program curriculum and client care. This position collaborates with the Clinical Manager to offer comprehensive treatment to our clients in need of an IOP level of care. This position is for the Adult IOP Depression/Anxiety/Trauma IOP which has a Christian Integration component to it. The IOP is virtual. This position also allows for a part-time outpatient caseload which would be in-person and virtual.

Duties:

IOP:

  • Lead daily process groups and assist in the planning and facilitation of other groups as needed, ensure adequate staffing and work with the Clinical Manager to adjust staffing due to census as needed. Hold responsibility for decision-making process in the event of crisis situation within IOP program and provide program/team support. Work with Clinical Manager to evaluate and modify curriculum as appropriate and ensure all curriculum aligns with the Company’s approach to care (30%)
  • Assist Clinical Manager in screening and coordinating new referrals for the program, ensure completion of all necessary steps to successfully onboard new admissions and discharge clients from the program while ensuring compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures throughout a client’s course of care. This includes but is not limited to clinical documentation and coordination of care requirements (5%)
  • Complete daily billing of services, attendance records and authorizations requests as needed and according to Companies policies and procedures. Review clinical charting of all services provided by IOP team members including but not limited to daily progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance with state and federal rules and regulations as well as medical necessity, insurance requirements and ethical requirements. Sign and lock all daily notes for IOP or, if unlicensed alert the Clinical Manager that notes are ready for signature and locking. (5%)
  • Maintain an outpatient caseload equivalent to Company’s productivity requirements and conduct outpatient therapy according to Company’s policies and procedures (55%)
  • Perform other duties as assigned (5%)

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D., Psy.D. or M.A.), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota or in process of meeting licensing qualifications in the state of MN
  • Must have individual psychotherapy experience; experience running psychotherapy groups preferred
  • Team supervision and leadership experience preferred
  • Related clinical experience (eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma) preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the Christian faith and experience with integration of Christian principles and practices into the therapeutic process is required
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations
