Your Role

As the SVP, Business Operations, for developing and oversight of business operations in support of value base care (VBC) performance execution by clinical and field operational teams. This position requires close collaboration with teams across the organization, create space for innovation, ensure end to end implications of operations and impacts to staff, providers and patients

Primary Functions

  • Lead P&L accountability for risk program business operations for programs including government and payer operations, ensuring close collaboration and coordination with field operations and clinical operations on executing these programs, as well as other centralized teams
  • Oversight and coordination of business operations for Medicare Advantage, CKCC and other risk-based contracts, including P&L responsibilities with oversight of clinical and field operations, data and financial teams.
  • Manage financial forecasting, utilization assumptions and budget processes to develop proforma by contract in close collaboration with finance team.
  • Oversee and manage payer relationships, working closely with growth teams through implementation, acting as key contact for plan stakeholders
  • Oversee the development of strategic plans, work plans and other initiatives to optimize contract value
  • Ensure implementation of managed care contracts comply with regulatory requirements
  • Work with individual team members on team/organizational performance initiatives. Coach and mentor team members on analytic, strategic and operations management for assigned tasks, technical issues and deliverables.
  • Drive and manage overall provider and network engagement strategy, leveraging organization needs and desired outcomes as a critical input
  • Oversee and manage the provider credentialing team and process
  • Build and oversee the marketing function, including brand management, patient and partner-facing collateral management, and public relations management
  • Evolve and manage practice transformation strategy and function including strategic components, refined practice transformation journey map, and supporting tools and resources to support that journey
  • Support and manage overall change management model and initiative management for the organization to ensure appropriate level of change and evaluation of change effectiveness
  • Identify process improvement/redesign opportunities, document, and redesign business processes as appropriate. Ensure policies and procedures are documented to support these efforts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field
  • History in change management within a scaled healthcare services organization.
  • You have 12+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry
  • Deep understanding of clinical practice operations and areas to create efficiencies; experience in field operations a plus
  • You are a proven leader with a high level of EQs skills; you effectively listen, engage and support team members
  • You have excellent relationship, communication, change management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and respect quickly, both internally and externally
  • You have a strong executive presence that inspires others and instills confidence in peers, external partners, board members, and team members
  • You are execution-focused and hands-on; you can effectively toggles strategic and “in the weeds” activities
  • You are able to motivate staff; influence people and outcomes, you promote team building
  • You have the demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings
  • You understand and are committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality
  • You have demonstrated strong business acumen of valued based healthcare operations in disease management and population health programs
  • You are demonstrate organizational skills, operational rigor, resilience and commitment to the business
  • You have current, relevant, and substantial knowledge of areas related to health center licensing and operations, e.g., legal/regulatory, administrative, policy, protocols, and other clinical issues, especially within a managed care environment
  • You have knowledge and understanding of mid-level supervision agreements and regulations
  • We also strongly prefer
    • You have previous experience working within a managed care environment especially with experience in administrative/management capacity
    • You have experience in leading the clinical function of a Value Based Care organization

Pay range for this role is $200,000 to $250,000, with exact pay determined based on experience, education, demand for role, and other role-specific criteria.
