Your Role
As a Director, People with Evergreen Nephrology, you plan and oversee all human resources functional operations, including compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, engagement, culture, and compliance. You serve as an advisor to management on matters related to talent development, organizational performance, engagement and culture, and leadership. You drive people-related projects from strategic development through implementation across the organization.
This role manages a team of two and reports to the SVP, People at Evergreen Nephrology.
Role Responsibilities
This role's primary duties include the following:
- Plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, engagement, culture, and compliance.
- Designs and implements people programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage team members.
- Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.
- Leads the process to implement and maintain an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes and provide data and reporting on HR activity.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Partners with the other People team functions – Learning & Development and Talent Acquistion – to update current processes, design new programs and address current business needs.
- Serve as advisor to management on matters related to talent development, organizational performance, engagement and culture, and leadership.
- Drive people-related projects from strategic development through implementation across the organization.
- Manage a team of HR generalists and specialists to support the above responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Prior experience in a startup environment required; prior experience in startup healthcare environments preferred
- 5+ years of managerial experience and 10+ years of role-relevant HR experience
- Must have prior experience leading an HR department at the Director level
- Deep knowledge of HR with a specific focus on performance management, employment law, and people operations and systems
- Solid working knowledge of other People team functions, including Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development
- Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite of products including Outlook and Teams
- Able to work effectively in a primarily remote environment:
- Home internet must support a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Cable, Fiber, or DSL connections hardwired to the internet device are recommended
- Evergreen will provide remote employees with telephony applications and equipment to meet the business requirements for their role
- Employees must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $165,000 to $185,000 annually. Exact pay is determined based on experience, education, demand for role, and other role-specific criteria.
This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
