ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to derive insights and develop reports that will support strategic decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare methodology and experience using SQL, Power BI or Tableau to analyze and visualize data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with various departments within the healthcare organization to identify data requirements and develop business intelligence solutions that support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using SQL, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Analyze complex data sets and provide insights to support the identification of trends and opportunities for improvement within the healthcare organization.
  • Provide training and support to other members of the organization on the use of business intelligence tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data models, reports, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to business intelligence and data analysis.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Act as our company subject matter experts within the healthcare data domain.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field within the healthcare industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience in SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare methodology, healthcare data sets, and healthcare industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare privacy and security laws.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare claims data is a plus.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts.
  • Ability to take ambiguous requirements and turn them into creative long term solutions.
  • Experience working on an agile team and comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
