ABOUT THE JOB

The Clinical Technology Specialist is focused on supporting the Clinical Technology ticketing queue and providing end user support. Works with internal customers to surface, document and deliver clinical requirements, functional specifications, technical needs, training, support, and ongoing communication needs. Helps identify optimization improvement opportunities within the EHR and other clinical technologies, applications, and solutions. Supports the work of Clinical Technology teammates and other stakeholders in achieving the organization’s objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for Clinical IT system support for all clinical teammates, stakeholders, and departments
  • Accountable for user implementation, configuration, testing, support and ongoing enhancement of clinic applications and support including, but not limited to, eClinicalWorks, Rubicon, Up to Date, Dragon, Salesforce and other office automation products used by providers and clinical staff as assigned.
  • Insures Everside Healthcare clinical workflows, data management and integration processes are supported in a manner that will provide reliable, accurate, scalable and timely reporting to all internal and external stakeholders in coordination
  • Ensures a standardized and consistent approach relating to the ticket queue, triaging tickets to identify ticket trends and identify urgent/escalated issues
  • Ensures tickets are updated and assigned to correct departments for resolution that are outside of Clinical Technology team realm

Clinical System Optimization

  • Provides support for eClinicalWorks module updates, upgrades and advanced clinical applications.
  • Actively supports and promotes systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of clinical information technology.
  • Promotes system security, patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (i.e. HIPAA).
  • Ability to identify training and development needs based on both enterprise and individual needs.
  • Supports the development of “super users” of clinical information technology and related capabilities.

Clinical System Advocacy and Support

  • Represents Everside to the medical community and clinic staff and serves as an advocate in promoting the use of information technology in the clinical setting.
  • Works in concert with all Stakeholders to design and implement systems.
  • Conducts problem identification, root cause analyses and timely and accurate resolution for issues.
  • Serves as an enterprise subject matter experts (SME) on EHR and other clinical support systems.
  • Responsible for approved configuration and support on EHR and other clinical support systems.

Management

  • Successfully works and resolves Help Desk Tickets as it relates to EHR and other clinical support systems.
  • Follow all aspects of the clinical technology environment
  • Able and willing to perform work activities in the field and outside of normal working hours if needed. Provides high quality customer support to Everside users with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, timeliness, and professionalism.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree and 2+ years of recent eClinicalWorks or other EHR experience preferably in Primary Care or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years’ experience in a Health Care related field, preferably Electronic Medical Records is preferred.

  • Previous analyst experience a plus
  • Experience in training other clinical technology software a plus.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
