Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Conduct maintenance of electrical systems, water systems, HVAC systems, etc.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Assist with daily office work requests as well as office maintenance repairs
- Assist with cafeteria/lunch special events services
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Experience in lab environments, a plus
