Overview

Groups Recover Together is an outpatient addiction medicine provider that delivers comprehensive outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. Based on the principle that recovery is tied to aspects of life that are beyond the reach of an office visit, our care model includes three core modalities that are proven to help individuals get their lives back on track -- medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. We pride ourselves in providing high quality clinical treatment and team-based support needed to build a life worth living sober.

Responsibilities

The Staff Provider will help support the Medical Director and Provider Support Manager with tasks in a full time capacity. The Staff Provider will maintain their own clinical caseload on a weekly and monthly basis. As well as assisting in training and education opportunities to new and current 1099 providers.

Clinical:

  • Groups coverage including but not limited to: regular provider groups, provider make up groups, and coverage for providers that need to be out of office.
  • Multiple Provider Make up groups per week
  • Hours each week for 1:1, provider compliance visits, and back up for IPEs as needed.
  • On call coverage (provider will have a designated check in time on set day, will also help with other on call coverage needs)
  • Provider will be tasked to help manage basic/minor escalations and advise providers of existing policies.
  • Case Conferences/Intercom::Sit on case conferences regarding difficult cases that require medical opinions/perspectives.

Training/Onboarding:

  • Provider will assist PSM with state-specific provider onboarding
    • Group Shadowing in their own groups
    • Provider will sit in the groups the first quarter that the new provider is working to help assist and advise.
    • Provider will review prescription and documentation training
  • 90 Day Mentor- provider will serve as a mentor to new 1099 providers for the first 90 days.
    • Provider will assist with new provider questions, concerns/remediation: if deficiency is identified by medical direction or field staff, provider will help assist with a PIP.
    • Provider will serve as an ongoing training and support person.


Education:

  • Help assist Medical Directors with providing education with common issues in MAT and providing MAT education materials.
  • Assist with group observations
  • Help assist creating education material to provide to providers

Proposed Breakdown of Responsibilities (subject to change):

Minimum of 30 hours - Maximum of 40 hours/week

  • Clinical Responsibilities: 75%
  • Training/Onboarding/Educational Responsibilities: 10%
  • Administrative/Miscellaneous Responsibilities: 15%

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner with an unencumbered Autonomous Practice APRN license in Virginia.
  • DEA in Virginia with previous X designation and/or 2+ years direct Buprenorphine experience.
  • Willing and able to become licensed in multiple other states where Groups operates or will operate soon (with support and reimbursement from Groups)
  • Willingness and ability to become credentialed with all government and private health plans with whom Groups Recover Together is in network.
  • Ability to see member in-person at several state locations
  • At least 1 year experience working in a team-based-care setting with behavioral health providers (therapists, social workers, case managers, etc)
  • At least 2 years experience working with a similar member population, preferably within primary care of behavioral health setting.
  • Adequate internet connectivity to support telemedicine (if working from home)
  • Access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically download speeds over 40 Mbps and upload speeds over 10 Mbps as well as a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.
  • Ability to demonstrate recovery-sensitive behaviors, including choice of language, attitudes and interactions with members and staff.
  • Ability to maintain courteous and professional in all communications (verbal and written) with staff and members
