Responsibilities
The Reporting Analyst will use your experience with healthcare data, your programming experience in SQL, and/or python, and your analytic skills to help develop new tools, provide clinical and operational tracking and measurement reporting to our customers, and supply data-driven insights to our operational and clinical teams.
In this role you will join an experienced team of data science professionals and analysts who measure the value and improve the effectiveness of HarmonyCares overall healthcare operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret healthcare and financial data to track and measure healthcare management operations, including but not limited to Quality, Coding, Risk Adjustment, Patient Census and Value Based Care metrics
- Use SQL, Python, R and Tableau to report on key performance indicators and create actionable tools at the region, office, provider and patient level to drive efficiency of resources and optimal outcomes
- Work with clinical and finance teams to track and measure the drivers of quality, engagement, and utilization in our membership cohort
- Track issues with reports, including defects in logic, data quality problems, and process errors
- Develop organizational understanding of data and collaborate with data warehouse team to assist and monitor data quality and assist in the development of corrective action plans
- Assist with analytics for new products, clinical interventions, market and national leadership, and customers
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 years of health care industry experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming in SQL, R or python
- Experience using statistical method to evaluate healthcare claims data and experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
- Strong organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, documentation, presentation, and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form to a widely diverse audience
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify relationships in data sets, determine key fields, and present findings unassisted
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in statistics, analytics, social science, public health, mathematics, economics, or epidemiology, or Actuarial exams progress
- Experience using statistical methods to evaluate healthcare claims data and experience with reporting tools such as Tableau strongly preferred
