Your Role

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will play a pivotal role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our analytics and artificial intelligence roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare analytics, AI LLM (Artificial Intelligence - Large Language Models) experience, Tableau development, and data governance. As a key member of our team, the Senior Manager of Data Analytics will play a key role in extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, driving decision-making processes, and ensuring the integrity and security of our data assets.

*This position will be onsite in our Nashville office.

Primary Functions Include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the data analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between technology and business end-users, working with them to document current workflow processes.
  • Collaborate with users to identify, define, and document business rules, process improvement options and alternatives as directed by business needs.
  • Apply expertise in healthcare analytics to extract meaningful insights from healthcare-related datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific challenges and opportunities within the healthcare domain.
  • Utilize Tableau to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts to optimize Tableau performance and ensure best practices in dashboard design and development.
  • Leverage AI LLM technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities, including natural language processing and understanding.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI LLM and identify opportunities for their application in data analytics.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards, metadata management, and data lineage documentation for analytics.
  • Translate, simplify, and analyze the feasibility of requirements to enhance business processes and promote efficient solution design.
  • Transform conceptual user needs into clear, functional business requirements for development teams.
  • Formulate, define, and verify business cases, as well as business and solution requirements based on user and business needs.
  • Identify required information fields and develop a data dictionary.
  • Participate in systems development efforts.
  • Formulate, document, and verify user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and mockups.
  • Participate in testing, acceptance testing, and implementation of analytic tools, modules, and subsystems.
  • Lead and manage a team of direct reports and contract employees.
  • Support the development of release notes, user guides, training materials, etc.
  • Effectively communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, data science, or a related field required; advanced degree in related field desired
    Proven experience (10+ years) in start-up or high growth-analytics with a focus on Analytics and AI products
    In-depth knowledge of analytics technologies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with a specialization in healthcare prediction models
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of data warehouse and BI visualization tools like Tableau/Si-Sense etc. and programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking skills, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach
  • Leadership experience and the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams
  • At least 3+ years of people management experience
  • Proficiency in Tableau and other relevant analytics tools
  • Experience in driving data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Must be able to construct and execute SQL queries for data, technical and quality analysis
  • Proficient in Agile tools, with a preference for experience in Jira
  • High analytical fluency and comfort; creative in approach to representing business activity day to day with a high degree of fidelity to all required external reporting
  • Experience with managing complex stakeholders, providing data-backed answers to business leader concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on evolving processes while maintaining high degree of individual productivity
  • Data engineering experience, some commercial responsibilities and exposure outside of pure analytics
  • Experience with services/provider-based businesses; thinking through margins and key growth drivers
  • Highly analytically self-sufficient, full-stack data orientation
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
