Your Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled systems engineer who has the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. In this role, the systems engineer will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security.
Primary Functions of the Systems Engineer Include:
- Actively participate in team discussions and decision-making regarding technology processes and procedures
- Craft custom batch and PowerShell scripts that reduce the need for human interaction
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to and collaborate with the correct IT and business work streams to enable faster and smarter business processes and develop meaningful analytics
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions with limited oversight
- Respond to end-user requests and troubleshoot issues with PC hardware, software, applications, and networks associated with the Windows environment
- Provide on-call and after-hours support as required
- Prioritize tasks and work semi-independently
- Continually improve system performance and scalability through better processes, documentation, and technology
- Provide support for current and future projects that involve technical operations
- Provide top tier customer service while providing 2nd and 3rd level support
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in technology or computer science
- Past MCSE or equivalent current Microsoft certification including Azure Cloud
- Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.)
- 3+ yrs of experience supporting an Azure/Entra ID environment
- Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure)
- Working knowledge of enterprise VoIP systems, primarily maintenance and administration
- Working knowledge or ITIL processes
- Strong computing systems troubleshooting skills, including hardware replacement
- Working knowledge of VPNs and VPN software
- Working knowledge of Macs
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Ability to write and maintain batch and PowerShell scripts
- Proven ability to adhere to security best practices and corporate change management policy.
- Ability to implement and manage security policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Good written and verbal communications skills, including technical documentation creation
- Able to multitask within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Office 365 experience with Azure, Exchange Online (including Hybrid mode), and Intune
- Experience administering all functionality of MS Teams including voice.
- Experience configuring and administering SSO solutions
- Experience administering Azure/Entra ID based security models
- Experience as Domain Administrator in a large-scale Azure/Entra-ID environment
- Proven ability to adhere to security best practices and corporate change management policy.
- Design/architect/support enterprise VoIP systems (i.e., Ring Central and MS Teams)
- Experience with MDM administration – specifically Jamf
- Experience with Azure/AWS VDI
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques to identify and mitigate security weaknesses in systems and networks
- Experience with encryption techniques and technologies to protect data both in transit and at rest.
- Proficiency in security risk management methodologies to assess, prioritize, and mitigate security risks across an organization's IT infrastructure.
- Experience administering SharePoint
The base pay range for this role is $84,200.00 - $96,800.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
