Your Role
As the Manager, Accounting, you will report to the Director, Accounting and collaborate to build a best-in-class accounting function. This role will be hands-on and highly visible. You will have direct responsibility for aspects of the month-end close procedures, including revenue recognition, cash, accounts payable (A/P), journal entry approvals, financial reporting review, and monthly reconciliations. The Manager, Accounting will provide guidance and leadership to direct reports and will be responsible for the allocation of tasks to those team members, as well as for driving team performance.
Primary Functions of the Manager, Accounting Include:
- Assist in managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and the annual audit.
- Establish and assess policies, practices and internal control procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Assist with general ledger accounting functions, including journal entry review and approval, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong professional team member relationships.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
- Partner with leadership to drive process improvements and automation initiatives, including streamlining financial reporting and month-end close procedures. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 4+ years of experience in accounting may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with Netsuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) administration and optimization preferred
- Experience with other ERP systems preferred (AP Automation/Credit Cards/Expense Management/Travel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
The base pay range for this role is $115,800.00 - $136,000.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
