Your Role

The Sr. Data Platform Engineer is a strategic, hands-on position responsible for shaping, operating, and improving the enterprise data platform ecosystem within the Digital Products & Data Engineering space. This role goes beyond platform administration as it requires someone who thinks creatively and proactively to prevent data issues before they surface.

This role will be the primary administrator for Snowflake and the Ataccama Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality (DQ) platforms, as well as owning the end-to-end solutions of both platforms. While the role will include critical tactical responsibilities, the desired candidate will approach this work with a strategic mindset, driving standardization, automation, and long-term platform scalability and maturity.

The Sr. Data Platform Engineer will serve as a bridge between data engineering, governance, and analytics teams, while partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical and scalable technical solutions to meet business needs. The right candidate will be a self-starter who takes ownership, not afraid to go against the grain, and is comfortable operating with minimal direction.

Primary Functions of the Sr. Data Platform Engineer Include:

  • Own the enterprise Snowflake environment with a focus on optimizing performance, cost efficiency, security, governance, and scalability

  • Administer and refine Snowflake user roles, access controls, warehouse strategies, and usage monitoring to support secure, governed access

  • Support and maintain reliability of data pipelines and platform operations for consistent and dependable data delivery

  • Manage and execute code deployments across Snowflake and MDM/DQ environments using version-controlled repositories and established release practices

  • Define and enforce end-to-end deployment quality standards, including testing, validation, monitoring, and rollback capabilities across platforms

  • Own the enterprise MDM/DQ platform with a focus on scalability, optimization of business processes, and delivering clean, mastered data to reduce business and operational risk

  • Design and implement MDM data models and lead the configuration and implementation of MDM platform

  • Design, maintain, and optimize match/merge rules, hierarchies, survivorship logic, and workflows to improve data accuracy

  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across business, data engineering, analytics, and governance teams, aligning platform capabilities with business needs

  • Drive automation and process improvements across platform operations and deployments

  • Partner in shaping the future-state data platform architecture, balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability and business goals

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
