Infusion for Health is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri. Our center is unique and offers individual comfortable private rooms for our patients. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the administration of infusion therapy in a comfortable, patient-focused environment by providing exemplary professional clinical care.

Our company is continuing to grow and we're looking to add a Pharmacy Technician to support our busy center in Laguna Hills, CA.

This is a full-time, 5 days a week position.

Key Responsibilities:

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists the Director of Pharmacy (PIC) to provide comprehensive specialty pharmacy service to Infusion for Health patients.

  • Data entry of required information from the prescription and patient profile in order to process and adjudicate prescriptions
  • Verification of patient eligibility and coverage information
  • Conducting benefits investigations
  • Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer or Pharmacist-in-Charge
  • Responsible for sterile compounding under the supervision of a Pharmacist, including clean room maintenance, completing documentation, and drug compounding
  • Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients
  • Dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist
  • Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacy’s policies on ‘’best practices’’
  • Assist in resolving patient questions, concerns, and complaints
  • Obtaining medical records from prescriber offices as required for the completion of prior authorizations
  • Initiating prior authorizations and communicating with third-party payers on behalf of the provider and patient
  • Will serve as the point of contact for patients, explain benefit coverage and financial responsibilities to the patients, collect method of payment, coordinate medication refills, and delivery of medications

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification is required
  • At least one year of specialty pharmacy experience
  • Experience in home infusions is preferred
  • Experience submitting prior authorizations is required
  • Experience with sterile compounding/USP 797/USP 800 is preferred

The hourly pay range for this role is expected to be between $22-$26. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
