Infusion for Health is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri. Our center is unique and offers individual comfortable private rooms for our patients. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the administration of infusion therapy in a comfortable, patient-focused environment by providing exemplary professional clinical care.

Our company is continuing to grow and we're looking to add a Pharmacy Technician to support our busy specialty pharmacy in Riverside, CA.

This is a full-time, 5 days a week role.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for utilizing their clinical knowledge and excellent customer service skills to provide our patients with the smooth service of coordination of care. You will make a difference by bringing your personal touch and clinical experiences that will support our patients and pharmacy team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
  • Active state Pharmacy Technician license required as outlined by state guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 2+ years of work experience as a pharmacy technician in Specialty and/or Home Infusion setting
  • High School Diploma
  • Reliable with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines
  • Must be reliable and work well under pressure
  • Experience in specialty medication prescription data entry
  • Knowledge of specialty and infusion medications
  • Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills required
  • Experience with using CPR+ or Caretend is preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will work as a part of the team to ensure patients receive specialty medication in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
  • In order to be successful in the role you must accurately enter prescription information, contact patients to arrange delivery or set a pickup date, correspond with prescribers to clarify prescription information, fill prescriptions and infusion supplies, obtain refill authorizations, prepare orders for delivery, maintain adequate inventory, resolve insurance issues and assist with Prior Authorizations.
  • Investigate, review, and load accurate patient insurances, including medical and pharmacy coverage, assign coordination of benefits, run test claims to obtain a valid insurance response on patient medications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed and other duties as assigned
  • Analyze/troubleshoot/resolve pharmacy charging and billing anomalies and includes an appropriate part in decision-making .
  • Troubleshoot and resolve billing rejections and subsequently rebill claims to appropriate carriers for all commercial, federal, and state insurance plans.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks based on organizational need.
  • Assists with pharmacy operations as needed.
  • Manages Monthly inventory including expired drugs and 340B medication.
  • Orders supplies for the office as needed.
  • Ship product via Fedex/UPS using proper cold chain methods.
