POSITION SUMMARY:

The scope of this role includes oversight of the patient intake department, which encompasses insurance eligibility, authorization, scheduling, and inbound call support. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, problem-solving expertise, and a proven track record of quantifiable success in implementing structural changes.

  • Optimizing the day-to-day operations of the insurance eligibility, authorization/prior-authorization, scheduling, and inbound call support teams
  • Leading and developing a team of intake specialists, assigning tasks, coaching performance, and ensuring proper training in operational procedures
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline intake procedures, implement new technologies, and optimize efficiency.
  • Tracking key metrics related to intake volume, conversion rates, and client satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive performance in additional overseas partner team to meet business goals.
  • Hire, oversee training, set expectations, evaluate and coach personnel.
  • Foster a positive, fast-paced, professional and collaborative work environment.
  • Successfully implement new tools and services to the operation
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory payor requirements, guidelines and established policy.
  • Develop, create, and implement policies, procedures, or work instructions as needed.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, WC, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction
  • Able to effectively solve new challenges, and support team to solve issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years of experience in leading a team of in a healthcare organization; experience in insurance-driven function preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid regulations
  • Proven expertise in service-focused operations
