Job Description
The Provider Liaison Specialist serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and its network of providers. This role is responsible for cultivating strong relationships within an assigned territory, enhancing provider satisfaction, and aiding in the efficiency of the referral-to-admission process. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of healthcare operations, and the ability to manage provider concerns with professionalism and strategic insight.
As part of our hybrid work model, you will be expected to work in the office at our Brea, CA headquarters for three days each week and remotely for two days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular outreach to promote engagement and ensure provider satisfaction.
- Serve as the liaison between providers and internal departments to ensure effective communication and resolution of provider inquiries or concerns.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with providers and referral sources within an assigned geographic territory.
- Aid in streamlining the referral-to-admission process by facilitating timely communication, addressing barriers, and supporting workflow improvements.
- Track and analyze provider feedback to identify trends and recommend systemic improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as admissions, contracting, case management, and claims to address provider needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of provider interactions, issues, and outcomes using CRM or other systems.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in provider relations, healthcare administration, referral coordination, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding of healthcare systems, provider networks, and managed care operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage a territory independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with referral and admission workflows in behavioral health, post-acute care, or specialty healthcare.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance requirements.
- Infusion experience is preferred.
