Job Summary

The Art Director is responsible for the creative production for hotels within the Aimbridge portfolio. This role oversees a team of graphic designers who design, create, and execute collateral and digital advertising for individual hotels. This role sits within the Second Wave team, which is the internal marketing agency for Aimbridge Hospitality.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 8 Years in creative services with 4+ in direct marketing agency or combination of agency/vendor side experience
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Provides leadership coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships. Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
  • Creativity. Originality. Design expertise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads team of designers and production managers to ensure work product meets expectations of brand guidelines and hotel needs.
  • Strategically aligns with Aimbridge to determine most valuable types of projects to drive revenue for our hotels.
  • Ensures brand standards are implemented across all products.
  • Ensures all creative designs meet high standards and design best practices.
  • Partners with Marketing Directors on streamlining processes and design revisions to improve efficiencies and work quality.
  • Partners with branding team to ensure smooth handoff of identity concepts and newly designed collateral is transitioned smoothly to production.
  • Understands fundamentals of printing and provides recommendations for hotels on paper quality, weight, sizing, etc.
