ABOUT THE JOB
The Public Relations & Social Media Manager leads the strategic planning, execution, and management of our PR and social strategies that drive brand awareness, prospect adoption, client loyalty, and promotes patient engagement. As a key member of our marketing and B2B team, this role plays a critical part in designing, managing, and executing our public sector and social media strategies. The individual in this role brings a balance of creativity, operational excellence, and analytical thinking to ensure our public relations and social presence are both impactful and aligned with Marathon Health’s mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy to enhance brand awareness and promote Marathon Health's mission across key audiences.
- Craft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and related content to effectively communicate the value of Marathon Health's services and initiatives.
- Manage public relations agency, including managing responses to media inquiries and coordinating media interviews, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an on-going basis.
- Lead the planning and execution of social media campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, public sentiment, and social media metrics to inform strategic decisions and enhance engagement.
- Collaborate across marketing and communications to help create engaging content, including articles, blog posts, social media updates, and thought leadership pieces.
- Manage the social media calendar and ensure timely, proactive engagement with followers to build an active online community.
- Conduct market and competitor research, identifying the latest trends in social media to ensure Marathon Health remains at the forefront.
- Delivery monthly reporting on key KPIs outlining the performance of our public relations strategy and social media performance and offering recommendations for improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing and a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in public relations, social media management, or a related field, preferably within enterprise healthcare or wellness sectors, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Experience acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.
- Proven track record of managing successful PR campaigns and growing social media presence.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
- Solid experience with social media including blogs, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
- Experience working with media monitoring and social analytics tools.
- Ability to think creatively, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000/yr
The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
