ABOUT THE JOB
This role bridges the gap between safety and health by helping to reduce injuries from strains, sprains and overexertion and providing education on health and physical wellness. The Occupational Wellness Specialist will work primarily with the client to develop occupational wellness programs and communications that will help reduce ergonomic related workplace injuries while also working with our clinic team to present information about how to improve overall health. Coordinate efforts among all client vendors to provide cohesiveness of services and to better engage the patient population and responsible for creating and writing educational materials, conducting meetings, and planning informative, interesting, and effective challenges, campaigns, and programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide health and occupational wellness training to all employees.
- Inspect work environment and observe work processes to identify areas of opportunity and recommend changes to work conditions and procedures.
- Engage client associates daily in each area and on every shift to develop and maintain relationships to positively impact their health and safety
- Act as a liaison between the client’s EHS team and the Health and Wellness Clinic to ensure cohesive and impactful programs achieve all occupational wellness objectives.
- Develop communications and programs that will help improve the overall health and safety of the client’s associates
- Promote a culture of health and safety through ongoing interactions and participation in plant meetings and events
- Develop and maintain relationships with client associates and client vendors to better communicate the many health and safety resources the client offers their associates
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in health education, health promotion, exercise science, nutrition, psychology, or other health-related subject and at least 2+ years of directly related experience developing, monitoring, measuring, communicating, and reporting on health and/or injury prevention related topics and programs or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range: $20.00-30.00/hr
