We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated and compassionate team at our employer-based health center in Tobaccoville, NC. As a Clinical Support Lead, RN, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and compassionate delivery of patient care while supporting the smooth daily operations of the health center. You will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, optimizing schedules for providers and staff, and collaborating with clinical teammates to create a seamless, patient-centered experience.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Clinical Support Lead, RN, plays a vital role in supporting our employer-based health center ensuring the efficient and compassionate delivery of patient care. This position is responsible for coordinating daily health center operations, including managing patient flow, optimizing provider and staff schedules, and supporting clinical teammates as needed to ensure a seamless, patient-centered experience. In addition to operational responsibilities, this role provides direct patient care—performing blood draws, administering injections, conducting EKGs, rooming patients, responding to incoming calls, and serving as a responder for patient emergencies. The Clinical Support Lead also serves as a key liaison for Workers' Compensation cases, supporting documentation and coordinating care in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Weekly Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that the health center has supplies, staff, and resources to allow the effective delivery of patient services and must manage the flow of patients and services in a way that delivers an exceptional patient experience.
  • Primary point of communication for distribution of information to medical assistants and other care team members.
  • Onboards, trains and supports team members and is the primary escalation point for clinical non-provider concerns.
  • Partners with Regional Operations Manager to order supplies, repair equipment, and maintain the health center to provide an outstanding care environment while remaining within budget.
  • Patient care responsibilities include documenting care in patient records, escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining vitals, completing the intake process, and gathering updates from the patient. Partners with provider to identify and address gaps in care.
  • Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy, and point-of-cate lab tests.
  • Prepares and administers approved medications and immunizations via oral, topical, inhaled, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal from provider orders (as permitted by state regulations and credentials).
  • Participates in patient outreach to drive engagement among eligible patients.
  • Provides outstanding experience to patients and families as reflected in NPS surveys.
  • Ensures adherence with all applicable internal and external quality and operational certifications and requirements. Conducts quality review of the Health Center.
  • Assist with process for ensuring temporary coverage needs across the health center.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • 2+ years of experience providing clinical care, ideally in primary care.
  • Skilled in administering injections, complete EKGs, and perform other office-based procedures.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and paperwork related to Workers Comp/Occupational Health.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
  • Willingness to obtain audiometry certification upon hire.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000/yr
