ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Sr Manager, HRIS to drive the strategic evolution of our HR technology, optimizing Workday to empower our HR team and enhance the employee experience at Marathon Health. This role is ideal for a Workday expert with deep technical and strategic HRIS knowledge who can reimagine processes, ensure data integrity, and lead system enhancements. The role will serve as the Workday Architect, responsible for leading system administration, integrations, automation, optimization, and reporting while also leading a team.
This position reports to the VP, People Operations and will collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and other key stakeholders to optimize Workday for a growing healthcare organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Technology:
- Own the architecture, optimization, and continuous improvement of Workday, ensuring it effectively supports HR operations, compliance, and strategic workforce initiatives.
- Serve as the Workday SME, overseeing system configurations, security, and updates to maximize efficiency and usability.
- Oversee and drive automation efforts to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and the overall employee experience.
- Responsible for overseeing the development, testing, and releases of Workday
- Workday subject matter expert and ensures effective use of the system, providing recommendations and solutions to evolving business needs.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of HRIS systems to ensure efficient and scalable HR operations.
- Act as a strategic partner with HR leadership to identify and implement system enhancements and workflows that improve efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to support HR’s digital transformation.
Management & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the Workday annual roadmap and prioritization ensuring alignment with HR and business objectives.
- Provide Workday consulting and training to HR and business users, driving system adoption and best practices.
- Lead a team of Workday professionals, fostering their development and driving business outcomes.
- Develop and execute the strategy for Workday Operations in partnership with the broader People team.
- Provide support when needed and address Workday related inquiries from employees, managers, executive team members and third parties.
- This role will partner with key stakeholders across the organization to identify business requirements and solutions that meet current and future to help drive business decisions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in HR operations, HR technology, and workforce analytics, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Workday experience is required. Prior experience in a Healthcare organization is preferred.
Desired Attributes:
- Proven ability to implement and optimize Workday solutions, for a 3,000+ employee organization.
- Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders in Operations, IT, Analytics, Procurement, and Business Process functions.
- Demonstrated success in process automation and efficiency improvements in a scaling organization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Deep understanding of HR compliance, HR business processes, data privacy, and reporting requirements.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing.
Additional Information:
- This role is remote and can be performed anywhere in the U.S. Travel may be required for strategic team offsites and initiatives but is not a regular component of the role.
- The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year. Compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
