ABOUT THE JOB

The People Partner will form relationships and develop trust throughout the organization and will partner with People Leaders to understand their respective strategic objectives and challenges. With the support of the People Partner Team and reporting to the People Partner Manager, this position is an ambassador of Marathon Health’s culture, ensuring it’s embedded in everything we do.

While a remote position, this position must reside in Indianapolis, IN.

ROLES AND RESPONSBILITES

Teammate Relations

  • Oversee appropriate resolution of teammate relations matters to minimize risk. Lead the investigation process with necessary parties to then review findings and provide recommendations to Leadership.

  • Resolve teammate relations issues via a systematic approach with clear documentation and follow-through.

  • Provide direction and support for teammate relations matters, including performance management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Provide guidance and coaching through a consultative approach by understanding organizational challenges and long-term people strategies.

  • Attend and conduct regular proactive meetings with people leaders to better understand business needs related to people.

  • Anticipate the need for change and influence change before a crisis or inflection point arises.

People Operations Processes

  • Ensuring consistency in the execution of day-to-day company practices, policies, and procedures.

  • Recommend process and system improvements to facilitate best practices within the People Partner Team.

  • Support various teammate processes and transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, separations, retirements, disability, FMLA, unemployment, workers' compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence.

  • Oversee and support teammates and people leaders on leave of absence administration, policies, and procedures, working closely with vendors to ensure timely processing and updates related to employee leave status.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive generalist background with experience in multiple areas: employee relations & engagement, HR operations, leave of absence, HR Workflows, employment law, etc. Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations required. Prior experience in growing, dynamic company; familiarity with a healthcare organization preferred. Proficiency with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $105,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
