ABOUT THE JOB

The HR Workday Data Analyst at Marathon Health provides data integrity, reporting and data analysis support and expertise for the company. This role partners with functional leaders and internal PX partners to understand data needs and provide reporting solutions. The Reporting & Data Analyst is responsible for building, automating, and visualizing, reports and dashboards to provide actionable data and insights that drive strategic planning and support effective decision making. This role will turn complex teammate data into powerful insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance the teammate experience, and advance our mission to transform lives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards to support functional leaders, people managers, and PX teams.

  • Serve as the primary Workday reporting expert, leveraging Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Workday Prism, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets to create scalable and customized reporting solutions.

  • Support scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring accurate, timely, and user-friendly outputs tailored to stakeholder needs.

  • Develop and deliver quarterly dashboards for senior and executive leadership showcasing key workforce metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, compensation trends).

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within Workday, including core HCM data (e.g., location, cost center, company) and change job templates.

  • Establish and maintain Workday reporting governance standards, documentation, and best practices across the PX team and broader organization.

  • Support data integrations, migrations, and implementation projects, including audits to ensure reporting compliance and alignment with organizational standards.

Analytics Responsibilities

  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that guide PX strategy and executive decision-making.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of teammate data to identify trends, predict outcomes, and recommend proactive workforce strategies.

  • Develop workforce analytics models to support business needs (e.g., retention, engagement, internal mobility).

  • Collaborate with PX and business leaders to define and track KPIs that measure the impact of people programs and initiatives.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends in people analytics, data visualization, and workforce planning to continuously enhance our analytics approach.

  • Present insights in a compelling and easy-to-understand way using visualizations and storytelling techniques to influence senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field and at least 5 years of directly related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional skills/qualifications as follows:

  • Workday Consultant with around 6+ years of impressive experience in Workday Integrations, Reporting, Analytics, security, data conversion, support, and maintenance

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR analytics, people reporting, or related roles.

  • Strong proficiency in Workday reporting tools, including calculated fields, dashboards, and matrix reports.

  • Advanced Excel and data visualization skills; experience with Power BI or Tableau

  • Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.

  • Understanding of HRIS systems, HCM processes, and workforce planning concepts.

  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and data privacy standards.

  • Experience supporting executive leadership with workforce analytics.

  • Background in healthcare or mission-driven organizations.

  • Familiarity with statistical modeling or predictive analytics.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000/yr
